n this article different types of prisons and prisoners who may be confined in them are discussed in the light of prison by-laws. This includes classification and separation of those prisoners who need be detained in different places, such as under 18 years old etc. It is showed that there are few points where prison by-laws need attention in order the meet current provisions whether internal or international.
