New surveillance technologies in the field of social crime control act like a double-edged sword, simultaneously bringing vast opportunities and threats. On the one hand, these technologies are considered essential tools for addressing the security challenges by improving the efficiency of the criminal justice system, facilitating the detection of complex crimes and optimizing the use of limited resources. On the other hand, unconditional reliance on them leads to unintended consequences, the most important of which are the violation of individual privacy, the reduction of social equality. This research aims to present solutions to reduce these negative consequences, using a descriptive-analytical method and citing library resources, while examining the role of technology in crime control and the consequences of excessive use of surveillance technologies. Research findings indicate that surveillance technologies, although they increase security in the short term, in the long term lead to the erosion of privacy, structural discrimination, and the weakening of moral principles. Therefore, by adopting measures such as balancing security and privacy, developing clear laws to limit data collection, and increasing the awareness criminal justice system activists about the limitations of technology, can be reduced to some extent and human dignity can be respected
